I provide Discernment Counseling, couples therapy, and relationship oriented individual therapy.

Discernment counseling is a specialized, short term process (1-5 sessions) designed specifically for couples with a “mixed agenda” perspective of the future, with an individual “leaning in” and one “leaning out” of the marriage. Unlike traditional couples therapy, Discernment Counseling’s aim is to provide each individual with the clarity and confidence of a path forward in the relationship. The short-term process encompasses a breakdown of both individual sessions with each member of the couple, as well as some time allotted for meeting collaboratively. Discernment Counseling is a structured, safe approach for each individual within the couple to consider the options for a path forward, before making a life altering decision.

In traditional couples therapy, partners want to break out of destructive cycles and heal the relationship hurt. My role in couples counseling is to maintain objectivity and act in consultation. Dedicating an hour weekly where your relationship is the sole priority, can be transformative long term.

Relationship oriented individual therapy may involve healing from emotional manipulation, setting boundaries with toxic individuals, and gaslighting recovery. You might be at a breaking point with a betrayal or break up, or a long-term desire for transformation of patterns. You might also realize that you are the common denominator amongst several complex and unfavorable circumstances. I will help you build the skills and develop a concrete plan to become the person you aspire to be.
